What cookies are
Cookies are small data files stored by a browser. Similar browser storage can remember a preference without being a traditional cookie. This site uses a small local-storage record to remember the choice made in the cookie banner. It does not currently use advertising, analytics or social-media tracking technologies.
Categories
| Category | Purpose | Example | Duration | User control |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | Core operation | Cookie preference | Session / persistent | Limited |
| Analytics | Usage measurement if implemented | Analytics identifier | Varies | Available |
| Functional | Remember preferences | Display preferences | Varies | Available |
What this site actually uses
The active implementation stores a preference value in local storage under the key archiveCookieChoice. It records whether the visitor selected acceptance, rejection or preferences so the banner does not repeatedly appear during normal navigation. It is not used to identify a visitor, measure visits or create an advertising profile.
No analytics identifier is currently set by this site. The Analytics row is included to explain the category clearly and would require a separate implementation and updated information before it became active. Functional display preferences are not currently set beyond the preference interaction itself.
Managing cookies in a browser
Most browsers allow you to view, remove or block stored data through their privacy or site-settings controls. In Chrome, open Settings, choose Privacy and security, then Third-party cookies or Site settings. In Firefox, open Settings, choose Privacy & Security, then Cookies and Site Data. In Safari, use Settings or Preferences, then Privacy. In Microsoft Edge, open Settings, choose Cookies and site permissions, then Manage and delete cookies.
Menus and names can change between browser versions. Blocking all storage may cause the preference banner to appear again or may affect ordinary site behaviour. You can also clear storage for this domain specifically.
